Submission Guidelines
I am always welcoming new pictures and information for the site. If you have pictures,
or information that you would like to submit for use on this website, please send them!
Please note the following guidelines before submitting any material-
Aircraft walk-around pictures
- Only pictures that are useful to scale modelers will be accepted for use on this website-
i.e. "walk-around" types of pictures, that show the detail of an aircraft in such a way as to
be useful for modeling.
- Before submitting pictures of a new aircraft not on the website yet, please try to verify whether
a kit manufacturer makes, or has made, a kit of that aircraft, that a modeler can modify to create
a firefighting aircraft. If you are not sure, let me know and I will do my best to help with the kit research.
- I will accept "in-action" shots of firefighting aircraft if you want to share those with me...however, I
will not post any of those types of pictures on this website. My focus for this website is for scale
modeling, and there are plenty of other websites on the internet for showing "in action" shots of
firefighting aircraft. An example of a exception that would apply, is if a shot happened to show the drop doors
opening as the retardant came out, and it was sufficiently close to show the detail of the drop doors.
- If you have any questions about the suitability of a picture for use on the website, don't hesitate to email me
and ask!
Model pictures
- Any pictures of firebomber models are welcome for the site, including pictures of one-time scratch builds.
Large images are okay, as I can always resize them as needed.
- In regards to the listings of kit and decal availability, please don't hesitate to email me if you have updated
information, or you see something in the listings that is otherwise inaccurate. I will of course do my best to keep
all information current, but it never hurts to have more sets of eyes looking at the info to help keep it accurate! :)
- If you are sending in pictures of a scale model of a firefighting aircraft, please include the following information-
- Your name
- the scale of the model, as well as the kit manufacturer
- any aftermarket items used, and/or scratchbuilding done to the kit
- what your model represents (for example, "a S-2F of the California Department of Forestry")
- When sending in pictures, kit and/or decal information, or pictures of a completed model of a firefighting aircraft,
send them to the following email- submissions@scalefirebombers.com
That's it! Thank you for your interest, and I hope to hear from you soon.
